Autumn Tones

As the days and nights continue to cool, the colours become more vibrant.

Despite today being overcast, the Japanese Maple is starting to take on its brilliant lipstick-red hue. This small tree is about 30 years old, and has the classic umbrella shape that you aim for when growing these trees.

This is my first autumn here since I bought the house and I’m pleased that it is putting on a good show despite the weather being much warmer than normal here in NSW.
