Not quite, but this 5x5x5 ft. pile is a mixture of Jasmine and Ivy that had overtaken the back part of the garden. I have spent the last 6 weeks pulling it out.
I’ve pulled it out roots and all. As you can see, it had grown all the way up garage and into the gutter.
The freshly tilled soil has given me some nice new space, but I will leave it rest for a while before planting anything (the small tree is an American Tulip Tree, Liriodendron tulipifera). To the left of the image is the pile of rocks that came out of the soil!
This part of the garden will become the ‘secret garden’ as it is in an ‘L’ shaped pocket of the yard, and, at 3500′ above sea level, is the highest point of the garden, with pretty view across the valley and to mountains beyond.
Next is to tackle the Ivy and Jasmine eating my shed 🙂
